Green Tip: Avoid washing your car at home, which can waste water and send harmful cleaners into our water supply. Take your vehicle to a commercial car wash where the water can be recycled and returned or support one of the new waterless hand car washes :-)

Green Tip: Never dump medications down teh sink or toilet - their chemical components may enter our water supply.  Place outdated or unneeded medicine in the garbage instead.

Green Tip: Join community volunteers to help plant trees & shrubs in parks & ecologically sensitive areas.  Vegitation helps reduce erosion & filters water flow, improving water quality.

Green Tip: Protect water quality by following watering restrictions & applying the correct amount of fertilizer to your lawn.  Over-irrigation & excessive fertilizer can increase phosporous & nitrogen levels in community water sources.

Green Tip: When autumn leaves start to fall, don't blow or rake them into the gutter or storm drain - composte them instead.  They can add to the soil for great gardens in the spring, or leaves & debris can wash into our water supply, releasing harmful compounds as they decompose.

Green Tip: Draining your pool or spa into the street, storm drain or a neighboring property wastes water, jeopardizes the water quality - & may violate the law!  Only drain into your property's sewer clean-out port.

November 11 - Veterans Day - Honor those who have served our country

November 26 - Thanksgiving - Give thanks for Everything!  Despite our difficulties, we are so blessed :-)

Green Tip: Home water softeners not only increase water use, bt can add sodium into our recycled water systems.  Using potassium or magnetic systems, instead of sodium improves the quality of our recycled water so it may be used more efficiently.
